Financial Inclusion for Last Mile Actors.

Dignified and fulfilling livelihoods for financially excluded youth and women in rural Ghana.

The FILMA program is designed to address a number of interconnected challenges currently faced by young women and youth interested in the Agriculture and Agric-Adjacent Sectors (AAAS). These challenges are particularly prevalent in rural areas and include:

CHALLENGE I

Youth unemployment is particularly grave in rural areas

CHALLENGE II

Limited access to affordable credit and inclusive financial services such as savings, insurance, and pensions

CHALLENGE III

4 million of these young people work in agriculture and adjacent sectors

CHALLENGE IV

Lack of access to resources, technical assistance and capacity building, market opportunities and a supportive ecosystem to flourish

THE PROGRAM

FILMA aims to stimulate entrepreneurship, increase productivity, and create sustainable economic opportunities by empowering financially excluded young women and persons with disabilities (Last Mile Actors - LMAs).
